1999-D Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-002
Error
Description
Hub doubling on this late-series Denver Memorial Cent created a strong partial extra column running SSW/NNE through the pedestal, curving north near the upper end between the statue's feet and the 7th column. Reverse die markers: die pitting just below the Memorial north of the right side of the T in CENT; a small die gouge inside the upper N in CENT. Obverse: none noted. Attributed by the Wexler Team (Wexler Variety ID: 1999-D 1¢ WDDR-002) with no other known cross-references. Denver's 1999 cent output exceeded 6.3 billion, yet this DDR remains scarce among surviving examples.
