Error
Description
Bar extended from the hand to the lower leg on the right of the statue on the seventh column. Die Markers: Obverse: A die gouge (dot) shows just to the NE of the first 9 in the date. A short, E-W oriented die gouge shows inside the right edge of the opening in the second 9 in the date. Two areas of die damage show to the left of the central 7 in the date. Reverse: A short, E-W oriented concentric die scratch shows above the letters F in OF and first A in AMERICA. A die gouge shows above the upper right arm of the M in AMERICA. A similar concentric die scratch shows above the letters ED in UNITED. A die gouge (dot) shows above the left memorial cornice. A die gouge (dot) shows in memorial bay 1. A die gouge shows on the right memorial step. A faded die gouge shows to the SE of the T in CENT.
