1994 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-009
Error
Description
Wexler WDDR-009 introduces extra Memorial columns across four bays on this 1994 Philadelphia Lincoln cent, with the doubled die reverse placing additional columns in bays 3, 4, 10, and 11. Die markers on the obverse include a strong die scratch running NNW to SSE to the right of the bridge of the nose, along with a die gouge to the right of the front curl of hair. On the reverse, a die gouge (dot) sits south of the right side of the second A in AMERICA, and a die scratch runs north from the top right of the C in AMERICA. The spread of doubling across both the left and right sides of the Memorial colonnade makes this variety distinctive among the 1994-P DDR series, where many entries affect only the right-side bays. Cross-referenced as Crawford CDDR-020 and Wexler Variety ID 1994 1¢ WDDR-009.
