The 1993 (W) Proof World War II 50th Anniversary Commemorative Five Dollar Gold is a proof commemorative dollar struck at the West Point Mint. The U.S. Mint produced 67,026 examples. The gold coin in the WWII 50th Anniversary program, this $5 piece captures the moment of victory with a jubilant serviceman on the obverse. The obverse features an American serviceman with rifle and arm raised in celebration of victory, while the reverse displays a large 'V' for Victory with Morse code dots and dashes for the letter V superimposed.
