Documented independently by three attribution systems — Crawford as CDDR-005, Coppercoins as 1990P-1DR-001, and Wexler as WDDR-010 — this 1990 Philadelphia Lincoln Memorial cent doubled die reverse carries one of the most thoroughly cross-referenced pedigrees in the date's variety census. The Coppercoins designation 1990P-1DR-001 notably assigns it the first sequence number in that catalog despite its higher Wexler number, reflecting the different chronologies and criteria of each attribution effort. Extra columns in the ninth and tenth Memorial bays provide the primary diagnostic, a doubling signature shared by several other 1990-P WDDR entries but distinguished here by the specific geometry of the extra column positions and the variety's extensive die marker set. Very detailed die markers on both the obverse and reverse surfaces allow confident attribution: each scratch, gouge, and area of die pitting unique to this die pair serves as a forensic identifier that separates WDDR-010 from visually similar entries in the catalog. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint on a copper-plated zinc planchet (97.5% zinc, 2.5% copper) at 2.5 grams and 19mm diameter. Die Markers: Obverse: A die gouge can be found to the left of the center of the I of IN. A short die gouge protrudes from the rim between the I and N of IN. A die gouge can be found above the 2nd 9 in the date. A die gouge can be found just SW of the 2nd 9 in the date. Reverse: A die scratch runs SW from the upper left of the 1st S in STATES. Several die scratches run from west to east to the right of the lower T in CENT. Numerous die scratches run from WSW to ENE through the steps and the right base of the Memorial.
