Description

Strong Class II Distorted Hub Doubling on E PLURIBUS UNUM combined with a closer spread on OF AMERICA characterizes WDDR-013 on the 1967 Jefferson nickel, attributed by Brian A. Ribar. The word "strong" in the doubling description elevates this variety above the "close" or "light" spreads typical of many Class II entries, indicating that the hub distortion was pronounced enough to produce readily visible secondary images on the motto lettering.
