While the 1955 Lincoln Wheat Cent is most famous for its dramatic DDO-001 — the most iconic doubled die in American numismatics — this DDR-006 documents a different phenomenon: a reverse doubled die on a proof coin from a separate die pair entirely. The light spread affects E PLURIBUS and the upper wheat ears on Victor David Brenner's Wheat Cent reverse, a modest but attributable doubling. Three die stages are documented: Stage A tentatively classified as early die state (unconfirmed), Stage B tentatively as mid-die state (unconfirmed), and Stage C confirmed with both reverse and obverse in late die state. Die markers UVC-1854 and DMR-017 identify the specific working die. This proof issue was struck at the Philadelphia Mint in bronze — 95% copper with 5% tin and zinc — at 3.11 grams. The light spread intensity means careful magnification is required to distinguish the doubling from normal die characteristics.
