Produced at the Philadelphia Mint, the 1954 Roosevelt Dime is part of the Roosevelt Silver Dimes 1946-1964 series. The U.S. Mint produced 114.0 million examples, making this the highest mintage among 3 variants, accounting for 47% of the year's production. The obverse features Franklin D. Roosevelt facing left, honoring the president who championed the March of Dimes and the reverse displays a torch flanked by olive and oak branches, symbolizing liberty, peace, and strength. Minted during the post-war economic boom, the final era of silver circulating coinage in the United States before the Coinage Act of 1965.
