Description

A richly documented combination variety on the 1946-S Roosevelt Dime, DDR-001 shows strong spread on the right branch and leaves, the US of PLURIBUS, and UNUM, with medium spread on AMERICA and DIME. Cataloged as UVC-109 and DMR-017 with obverse die variety ODV-001, it is cross-referenced as FS-501/801. The reverse die is also listed as RPM-001 and MMS-001 with a trumpet tail mintmark, making this a triple-attribution variety combining doubled die reverse, repunched mintmark, and machine marking. Four die stages trace its progression: Stage A and B are unconfirmed early and mid-die-states. Stage C, at LDS, documents the die as carrying RPM-001 characteristics, with the obverse also at LDS. Stage D places both sides at very late die state. The trumpet tail mintmark associated with MMS-001 provides a quick visual indicator, while the strong branch and UNUM doubling confirms the DDR attribution independently.
