Medium spread on the left wheat stalk, U of UNITED, and O of OF identifies this first documented doubled die reverse for the 1946 Denver Mint Lincoln Wheat Cent, carrying die markers UVC-1729 and DMR-025. Three die stages are documented: Stage A in early die state (unconfirmed); Stage B showing a die gouge just inside the left wheat at U of UNITED in early-to-mid die state, with the obverse listed as DDO-004 in mid die state and a die gouge over the first T of TRUST; and Stage C in late die state (unconfirmed).
