Description
The 1944 (S) Philippine Five Centavos is a five centavos coin minted at the San Francisco Mint, within the Philippines Five Centavos 1903-1945 series. The obverse features a male figure seated beside a hammer and anvil and the reverse displays an eagle above a shield. Produced during World War II, when the Mint altered coin compositions to conserve strategic metals for the war effort.
