1941 Doubled Die Reverse DDR-005

Description

Proof Lincoln Wheat Cents from the early 1940s are scarce and desirable in their own right, and this 1941 Proof DDR-005 adds doubled die reverse interest to an already collectible format. Strong extra thickness appears on E PLURIBUS UNUM, both wheat ears, the stems, and AMERICA, indicating substantial hub displacement that affected multiple reverse design elements. Die markers include UVC-2932 and die marriage DMR-030. Stage C is the only confirmed die state, with both the reverse and obverse documented in Late Die State. Stage A in Early Die State and Stage B in Mid-Die State remain unconfirmed. Attributed by VarietyVista.
