Description
The 1936-M Philippine Peso Roosevelt-Quezon KM-177 is a peso coin minted at the Manila Mint, within the Philippines Peso 1903-1945 series. The obverse features a female figure standing beside an anvil, holding a hammer and the reverse displays an eagle above a shield. Struck during the Great Depression, when mintages dropped sharply and the United States abandoned the gold standard in 1933. Auction record: $4,800 MS67 08-18-2024 Heritage Auctions.
