Description

The PC-5c-1869-09 Cud is a cud error, a type of major die break at the rim where a piece of the die broke away, creating a raised featureless blob at the edge of the coin. This variety was discovered on the 1869 Shield Nickel, part of the Shield Nickels 1866-1883 series. Note: Reverse die cracks ‘black arrows”.
