In 1810, coins were struck at the Philadelphia Mint with a combined mintage of 5.8 million. This represents the highest annual mintage in the entire series, above the series median of 1.0 million. The obverse features Liberty facing left wearing a fillet or headband inscribed LIBERTY and the reverse displays a wreath enclosing ONE CENT. The 1810/09 overdate is a collected variety. Mintage was modest. Weighing 10.89 grams, 28 mm in diameter, with a plain edge. Struck one year after the 1809 key date, the lowest-mintage regular issue in the series.
